Six more weeks of winter, they say… Guess I’ll pull out the big guns while I still can. This is the first time I can every remember Louisiana having a substantial winter and I still feel underprepared.. It’s February. High time I find some sweaters.
I did find this super thick, super cozy sweater from Revolve! And right now it’s on sale! I had actually ordered it for New Years to wear with some metallic rose gold pants, but it didn’t come in on time. So luckily for me, the cold weather is here to stay and I get to wear this bear of a top for a bit longer!
The best part about this top is that you don’t need a jacket over it. It’s so friggin’ warm. The bomber style and the thick faux fur gives off the appearance and feel of a jacket. The first time I wore it, someone asked me if it was real bear fur… it’s not, but it’s just as soft! I did brown boots to keep the outfit winter appropriate and added the nude bag for a subtle and feminine touch. I paired high waisted jeans to cover my tummy and make me look longer. For the record, I am a strong contender for not wearing white pants during the winter. I had to make an exception for this outfit. Winter white pants would have been ideal, but I dug out my summer jeans to tie in some brighter assets for this look.
Everything besides the sweater is from last season, so unfortunately I don’t have much like finding links to any of the items. But here and here are similar jeans, here is the Rebecca Minkoff version of the bag on sale for $88 (it’s the exact same thing), and here and here are other pairs of mismatched earrings. Boots of a similar style are being sold everywhere right now, so just head to your favorite shoe store to snag a pair.
Other ways to style this top:
- full trousers and ankle boots
- a funky denim skirt with clean sneakers
- a bright pant that contrasts the dark brown color with a chunky platform heel
- keep it simple with high waisted jeans and brown riding boots
