Embroidery and Denim

My summer uniform has been easy tops or dresses and denim. Between my FreePeople olive cutoffs (similar here) and these boyfriend jeans featured below, I’ve been dressing them up and down to wear for all my summer outings. While I was in Mobile, Alabama a few weeks back, I snapped a few picks of my favorite new embroidered pieces and paired them with denim. Easy, seasonal, and comfortable! Yes, please.

I think I’ve worn these boyfriend jeans at least twice a week since I bought them.. I’m addicted to them. This lenin embroidered top is perfect for summer. And Urban Outfitters is having a 70% off end of summer sale, both online and in stores!! Actually there are tons and tons of sales going on right now so take advantage of them. About those earrings: are they not the coolest things you’ve ever seen?! I scored them at JazzFest this past year and I wear them with everything. I wish I remembered the shop name to refer them but their booth has been at JazzFest for a few years so hopefully they’ll be back.

Also v obsessed with this dress. I found it last summer and it’s become a major go-to for me. I wanted to add even more color so I used my favorite turquoise sandals to do so. A denim vest is the most ideal summer piece in my opinion; it adds flare and style to any outfit. If you don’t already have one, dig in the back of your mom’s closet and I’m almost positive you’ll find one from the early 2000’s. What comes around goes around!

*style tip: always keep the nice clothes you buy or somewhat classic. They’re more than likely to come back in style in 15 or so years and will be worth more then! And it makes shopping for yourself (or your kids) easier since you’ll already have the piece when it comes back to the fashion scene.
