Little White Dress

I went on a little blogging hiatus due to rush week (GEAUX KD) but I’m back in the swing of things and should start following a posting schedule soon. I’ve had these pictures for a while and I couldn’t wait to finally be able to show all of you this look! And the view… my grandmother’s neighborhood is a stunner. This Little White Dress is the perfect summer smock but can definitely be turned into a fall statement.

This dress is so easy to accessorize– it’s like a canvas. Paint it however you like. I used these forest green beads and black bandage wedges to bring some darker colors in to tie summer into fall. When working with a tea length skirt, I feel that strappy shoes do the hem the most justice. I couldn’t decide on a long or short necklace but then I realized that these beads accomplish both looks by wrapping them around my neck a few times. Plus they bring out my eyes 🙂 Side note: I don’t advise walking across stepping stones in heels…

Obviously, Jolie was the main accessory in this look. The maltipoo matches my dress perfectly. I decided to put my favorite olive vest over the dress to make it look like a top and a skirt. The top of the dress simply looks like a bandeau under the vest! I added a little pop of pink lipstick to brighten up the outfit.I found this gold necklace in my grandmother’s bathroom and fell in love with it. So thanks, Maemae, for all your cool vintage finds. I’m going to go ahead and call dibs on this necklace whenever you decide to give us all your goodies.
