Two-in-One Vest

So. I found the most incredible vest at Maven in Lafayette the other day and just had to share. It can be worn as a shirt or a vest, actually. How cool is that?! This army green number seemed to have changed tones when I put it with the different outfits… keep reading to see how!

Fun fact: These booties are half suede/half leather–perfect for all outfits, casual or dressy!

IMG_2811 IMG_2827When put with my black wax coat skinnies, the vest seemed to take on a darker shade. I’d prefer a plain white tank underneath, but I made due with beaded one! And if you don’t want to wear a tank under it, you could easily get away with wearing this vest by itself and zip it up all the way– you have yourself another shirt. The black booties with the black jeans make one clean line, making me look taller than I actually am (with which I need all the help I can get). Put on some cool bracelets and trendy earrings and you have yourself a polished, yet edgy look. And I’d suggest neutral lips and dark eyes if you want to wear this out!

This simple cream dress creates a clean, military look while making the vest seem lighter than it actually is. Simple studs would be best if you would rather earrings to a necklace, but I thought my solid gold double-strand necklace was the perfect balance of style and simplicity. And of course, I’m wearing my favorite tan ankle boots to give the look some flare. I wish I had some deep purple lipstick… I think it would tie the outfit together perfectly!
