The Crop Top File 2.0

Like I said in “The Crop Top File”, crop tops can be tricky. This hot-pink number that I found at Nordstrom Rack really makes a statement, so I’ve had a difficult time finding ways to wear it differently! So for this post, I decided to stick with neutrals to go with my 70’s inspired top. Shoutout to my little sister, Elise, for following me around with the camera today!

With a top this short, I always wear high waisted pants. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find my black cigarette skinnies so I had to suffice for my comfy leather-lined leggings. But they did the trick! I’ve had these suede wedge boots for as long as I can remember and they never fail me. I’d suggest investing in some. They’re awesome. Anyway, the brown and grey suedes give my polyester top some texture. The vest doesn’t make the look too modest, but does give a little more coverage, which is better for fall! I put on my black Kendra Scotts to add another pop of dark color, but a long necklace would also look great with this.

To dress up this crop top a little bit, I put it with a pocketed feaux-leather skirt with a rose-gold band. The rose-gold band on the skirt reflects the pink from the top and brings in more color. These black booties make this ensemble a little warmer and the fringe zippers on the sides of them bring in the trend. This statement necklace gives the outfit just enough sparkle! Oh, and please excuse my awful nails… I’m due for a manicure.
